Bathroom Trends for 2025

7 months on from the Milan Furniture Fair and we are seeing some of the European trends come to life in our bathroom designs here in Perth. Whilst we don’t design according to ‘trends’ there are some definite styles that are becoming more popular for the year ahead.

  • WELLNESS - Bathrooms are leaning towards the wellness trend that we’ve seen emerge over the past few years and we are now being asked more than ever to integrate components such as steam rooms, saunas, water filtration and chromotherapy (lighting) into the bathroom. Our modern lifestyle can be hectic, and we are seeing clients request their bathroom design to be a sanctuary for relaxation, self-care, and rejuvenation.

  • SPA-LIKE ATMOSPHERE - Taking cues from world class hotels and spas, the bathroom is heading in the direction of ‘quiet luxury’ complete with mood lighting, integrated speakers, high end fixtures and serene colour palettes. A calming spa-like atmosphere is the goal with homeowners continuing to invest heavily in creating a luxurious and relaxing space, away from the hustle and bustle of normal life.

  • STATEMENT STONES - Bold veins, earthy colours and integrated basins are all trending when it comes to bathroom design. Investing in statement stones for vanities or feature walls creates a real wow-factor in the bathroom.

  • OUTSIDE IN - Biophillc design is a hot topic, not only in architecture but also bathrooms. The use of large windows, natural ventilation with louvres, skylights and integrated gardens help to bring the outside in with a connection to nature important for our general health and wellbeing. Incorporating views to out to the garden and using plants in your bathroom helps to green up the space.

  • BOLD TILES - Patterned and textured tiles continue to evolve in the world of bathroom design. Creating eclectic zones in the bathroom with statement tiles helps to add character to the room and can really liven up the design.

  • LARGE VANITIES - Incorporating more storage into the bathroom is a must. We are seeing clients request larger and more functional storage options with the vanity taking centre stage. If space permits, investing in custom designed cabinetry can help to maximise the use of your space.
